The road to .conf26
September 14 to 17, 2026, Colorado Convention Center, Denver. Car 26 is built, fueled and sitting on a 5.0 rating. What it does not have yet is a paddock pass. We are campaigning for a demo spot or a few minutes of stage time, and this page is the live pit board: if we get the nod, you will read it here first.
Help us make the grid
Two things move the needle. If you know someone at Splunk, forward them splap.dev with one line: "Two people put a real Grand Prix inside Splunk and it passed AppInspect. Worth five minutes." And if you would come see it live in Denver, email lc@federal.ai with "conf26 interested". Every hand raised is a lap gained; we will bring the count to the negotiating table.
What we would show
- Pit Wall: 20 cars at 3.7 Hz on a Monza map derived from the cars' GPS, zero searches per frame.
- Position Worm: the whole race, every driver, one canvas. Click a moment, replay it.
- Lap Delta: any two laps aligned by distance, corner by corner.
- Incident Review: a 30 second evidence window around any race-control message.
- Where the physics is going: tyre degradation and undercut modelling, labelled with confidence and SPL like everything else.
Why a Splunk person should care
SPLap is a working argument that SPL is a general time series engine, not a log tool. The same pipeline that finds a slow pit stop finds a degrading pump on a depot line. The data model, provenance tagging and idempotent import ids are the parts we would reuse on a real mission system, and we say so in the engineering notes.

Shirts
Black, white and amber, Monza outline on the chest. If car 26 makes the grid, a limited stack of shirts makes it too.
