The Founding Pit Wall.
Fifty seats for the first people who install SPLap, finish one Monza challenge question and send something useful back. Use the thing, tell us the truth about it, get a car number.
How to earn a seat
- Install SPLap. Free on Splunkbase; open it and the 2025 Italian Grand Prix is already moving.
- Finish one challenge. Any of the three questions on the Monza challenge page.
- Send one useful thing. Your answer with a screenshot, an SPL query you wrote or changed, a bug report, or a product suggestion we can act on.
- Say how to list you. Name, handle, or "no thanks". Nothing about you appears here unless you ask for it.
A rating is never part of the deal. Honest feedback is what earns the seat; if SPLap also earned a rating, that is your call to make on Splunkbase, in your own words.
Car numbers are given by hand, in the order the emails arrive, in the welcome reply. We answer every one, usually within a day.
The wall
The grid is open. Members are added here by hand as they join, name or handle only, with permission.
Your share card
Once your welcome email gives you a car number, put it in and save the card. It is drawn in your browser from the SPLap design; nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Why it works this way
SPLap is a two-person project with no server behind the website. That is a feature: nothing tracks you, nothing is stored about you, and the only thing that moves is an email you chose to send. The wall is a list Lloyd and Lilli type by hand. If it ever grows past what a hand-kept list can carry, that will be a good problem.
