Boilerplate
Short. SPLap is a free Splunk app that replays a real Formula 1 race inside Splunk from real telemetry. Built on weekends by Lloyd Clark and his daughter Lilli.
Long. SPLap (Motorsport Telemetry Lab) is a free, open-source Splunk app that replays the 2025 Italian Grand Prix inside Splunk from real car telemetry: 20 cars at 3.7 Hz on a circuit map derived from the cars' own GPS, a timing tower with gaps and intervals, lap-versus-lap deltas, incident review, and deterministic race-engineer findings, each with the SPL query that reproduces it. It uses no language model and needs no internet. It was co-developed by Lloyd Clark, founder of Federal AI and an AI PhD, and his daughter Lilli, and was approved on Splunkbase in August 2026. SPLap is an independent, non-commercial project and is not affiliated with Splunk, Cisco, Formula 1 or any team.
